Safari Gray Screen on iMac

This week I tried to go to my Hotmail only to have the safari screen go gray. I could access other websites just fine at that time. However, each day there were more and more websites that when I tried to go to them, I may see them for a split second but then the screen goes gray. I can see everything fine using Fire Fox, however, I prefer Safari. I haven't found anything talking about this on an iMac. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

Try re-setting Safari.
If this does not work try using Safari in guest account.
