Garageband templates

I have been using garageband to record voiceovers and each time I start a new project I have to spend the first x minutes setting it up the way I want. I was wondering if there was a way to set it up once and make that a template so that each time I open a new project it would open up the way I like it.

P.S. the new upgrade on garageband makes it worse because I am not used to it and I need the info for the newest updated garageband.

P.P.S. I used the search function but found nothing.

To make a Garageband "template":

1. Open a previous project that is set up the way you want it.
2. Save As or Duplicate and give the project a different name so you don't overwrite the old one.
3. Strip out the audio you don't want in your "template." Save.

Done.
