Hi, I upgrade my mac pro to 10.9.2 today and try to connect external harddrive with eSATA, but nothing detected. This didn't happen before. My eSATA card was function-able before update(OS 10.9), the strange thing is, when I plunged the eSATA to an external harddrive, I believe that the drive can be detected because I can hear the startup noise of the drive. But after a few seconds the noise stopped and the drive still powered on but nothing can be detected.Do I need any driver for the eSATA card?

You will need to research a driver for your particular card. Also, the drive spinning up is no indication that it will be recognized by the system.
