Just curious about a folder of files i came across on my MacBook Air.
I am unablt to drag them to trash, or right click delete.

Thank you Ferrarr,
i have tried to open the file and it says Delete Alias or Fix alias, neither do anything but say that the original document could not be found.

It physically won't let me drag them, send them to trash, or manually delete with buttons.

Agree they are probably mail - personally wouldn't mess with any of the mail folders via the Finder.

Find out where they are - in the Menu bar click on View - Show Pathbar.
This will give you the path of the highlighted item at the bottom of the Finder window.

That's a little drastic for a dozen files likely taking up a few kb space.

I purchased it new in 2011, it is running 10.9.2, they aren't really bothering me, i just worry about it being an underlying issue that could potentially ruin this mac. I've tried everything possible, the show path is selected, still shows no sign of where they are from, its really weird. If they won't cause this mac harm I'm not bothered ill just leave them be

Well, I've had XtraFinder installed for so long now, don't know for sure which functions are Finder and which are added via XtraFinder.

If it bothers you that much, go to Spotlight in System preferences and uncheck Mail, Websites and anything else you don't want in a search.
