Opening numbers document on iPhone

I have a numbers document that i use on my macbook, but i would also like to be able to access it and make changes to it if I'm not near the macbook my iPhone has pages installed.

Despite saving the document on the macbook to iCloud and being able to see it if i log into iCloud on safari, when i open the iPhone app up i am unable to see any of my numbers documents. How do you force the iPhone app to sync with the documents stored on iCloud?

On your iDevice running iOS 7 - open Settings - scroll all the way down to and select Numbers - turn on Use iCloud
