On my 2009 MBP 17" the adblockers keep the Met Office UK sites clean. These have been working for years, probably back to OS10.5 and through to current 10.8.5

However the same combination Glimmerblocker, Safari AdBlocker & Safari Block don't work on this site for either my 2009 MBP 15" running OS 10.6, nor recently acquired 2011 MBP running 10.8.5

has anyone cracked this?

BTW I have been very impressed with Mac-Forums when recently finding out where my CS4 passcode was buried and how to copy it across.....better than apple discussions

Silly me - I found AdBlock was missing; thought I had seen its symbol, but must have escaped through a gap. OK now, but saw somewhere else that it had been taken over by a large company and the newer Beta is suspect any thoughts?

There is no beta...

Have a read of their own FAQ section on this page...

https://getadblock.com/

If that icon is not the one you downloaded - you got the wrong one.

AdBlock Plus (the one that says it's a beta yet full version - both at the same time) has nothing to do with and is a totally different app than AdBlock.
Don't be fooled.

And don't download one called "Safari AdBlock" from softonic or CNET's download dot com.
