I'm wanting to upgrade my 3gs, but the apple store person I talked to says i'll need to back up my data to icloud. I've searched the settings on the phone and don't find icloud anywhere. Am I supposed to download it from somewhere else?
Thanks

What iOS version is your iPhone currently running? I believe you need iOS 5 or later.

What version iOS are you running? Are you able to back up to your PC/Mac via iTunes? If so, then no, you don't HAVE to back up to iCloud. Just restore your backup via iTunes.

By going to settings, update. The latest update your iPhone can accept will be downloaded. Forget about iOS 7, your 3Gs can't run it.
