I have been running four different Windows XP virtual machines with Parallels on my iMac now for about four years. I no longer need to run the windows machines and need more hard drive space. What is the best way to uninstall these virtual machines?

Doesn't Parallels have an uninstaller? It should, it puts things in the System on startup.
As far as the actual virtual machines, there should be a folder in Documents which you can delete (unless you put them somewhere else).

You can also delete the virtual machines right from Parallels - right click the VMs and choose the delete option.

Thanks! You are correct but I have not used my virtual machines for about a year (they have been on my system for about five years) and I have upgraded my OS a couple of times and am now using OS X 10.9.2 and the Parallels/OS X menu has changed to the point I am having difficulty finding my virtual machines window. But have now found it and right clicking the VMs does offer a delete option. I also went to Parallels web site for their instructions.

Thanks again for the help.
