There is one thing I miss about Windows say if I have 2 word docs open, and can alt-tab between the two. Now I have to choose which window is on top by drop down? Is there a way to alt-tab like in Windows?

:(

You can use Command + Tab to switch between running applications. For switching between Word documents, you can do the same thing as in the Windows version of Office and that is to use split screen or minimize one document.

Maybe stating the obvious, but with a wide enough screen, you can just overlap the open files so that you see part of the hidden one. Then it just takes one click on the partially visible window to switch back and forth.

Yes of course. On my 27" iMac with its current high resolution, I can open three Word documents side by side (one page documents).

To switch between 2 open windows in the same application, use COMMAND-` (that's the key up top to the left of the "1" key).

This is indeed how you do it. All we need now is a way to do this inclusive of minimized windows...

I should also point out that you can change that key combo if desired (or turn it off for that matter). Go to System Preferences, then Keyboard. Select "Shortcuts" up top, then "Keyboard" on the left. You'll find the option for this behavior on the right, labeled as "Move focus to next window".

Agreed. It really aggravates me that CMD-` skips minimized windows.

On my MBP, I can 3 finger swipe up and it shows me all open apps and windows. I think that includes minimized windows. I use an F-key on my iMac to do the same thing.

Is that Expose/Mission Control? If so, it used to include minimized windows at the bottom but this functionality disappeared.
