Hello:

It's been mentioned a few times on this forum that the new intel based imac's have a minor video card problem (seems to be around the front row program). I did a search on google, and it seems that the problem is with the 256mb vid card.

I was going to purchase a new intel imac this weekend with the upgraded vid card. I'm a bit hesitant due to this problem.

Does anyone have a status on this issue? I couldn't find anything posted...

if you do buy a Intel Imac and it does go bad, apple will replace your computer becuase it is still under warrenty. I belive I read somewhere that apple is further looking into the problem and is deciding to recall the model or not.

There was an upgrade in the Operating system that fixed it, and it only was present in the 256mb graphics cards.

Mine most wonderfully, nothing to complain about on the screen (knocking on wood :p)
