I recently upgraded to Mavericks on my 2011 MBP. A few weeks later, on every re-start, it now prompts me for my Hotmail password for Face Time. When I enter the correct Hotmail password it re-prompts me to enter it unless I click cancel.

I don't use stinking Face Time and can't remove or modify it as part of OSX. Is there any way to stop this annoying password-prompt on every re-start? Or to just kill Face Time with some Terminal code? Thanks.

Start Facetime. Click on it's name in the menubar. Select "Turn Facetime Off".
Quit Facetime.

Thanks very much, it worked! Apple should realise we're not all teenagers hooked on video-calls.

P.S. There's no apostrophe (' = i) in the possessive its. Yours reads as it is.
