Hey guys first time poster here.
Just a quick enquiry into whether upgrading my hard drive to an SSD and expanding my RAM will improve my buss speed? I've been told the processor can't be changed on this model at the stores I have visited (apple and third party) so I need to find out if it's worth investing in a HD and more RAM. Thanks!

Personally, wouldn't recommend investing anything in a computer that is hitting at least 9 yrs old. Time to start saving for a new(er) one.

And further the system bus speed will stay exactly where it is, usually between 800MHz and 1GHz. The boost from an SSD may be somewhat limited by the G5's SATA 1, 1.5GB/s speed but will sure improve boot times and if you are into advanced programs, read/write times./ If used for browsing, emails etc the difference will not be very noticeable.

Also as the memory is old and somewhat slow, do as bobtomay suggests put the cash towards a newer Intel machine.
