Duplicate Songs on iPhone 5S and iPad Mini2

Greetings All -

What a great place here!

So, I have iTunes Match on and now I have duplicates of all my songs. I want to use iTunes Match as a backup (so please don't ask me to turn it off and sync my devices).

I need to understand how to delete all of my songs on both devices and then download them back to each device so that I only have one of each, etc.

Go to Settings - iTunes and App Store - under 'show all' turn off music.

I suspect what you're seeing is what's on your device and what's in the iTunes Match cloud. This setting will hide the cloud stored tracks that aren't downloaded to your device. You may also wish to turn of Automatic downloads on this page too
