Problelms w/Entourage mail app

iMac 10.11.6, also ipad
I'm having trouble with our email application 'Entourage' which is part of Microsoft Office.
I cannot delete messages from Inbox without the app freezing.
I'm an iMac 10.6.8 w/2004 Office

That usually indicates the Entourage data base is corrupt. Try rebuilding it according to the instructions in the following Microsoft KB article: LINK
