Disk Warrior needs password

I'm new to disk warrior. I like the warrior but every time I start it my password of the mac have to be entered. Can this setting be changed so no password is needed??

Been a while since I used that software but I don't think that can be changed. If so not easily. Without the software asking for an administrator password it would be very easy for someone to really bork up your drive.

No. Disk Warrior has the ability to makes changes to your hard drive and file\folder structure and therefore must be run by an administrator which requires a password. Other software such as Data Rescue and iPartition likewise require an administrator password before they will run.

If you are running DiskWarrior so often that this is an issue, you are running DW waaaaaaaaaaay too often. Once a year is probably more than is needed in typical use.

Disk Warrior is best run from a bootable disk (DVD), not your boot drive. Some of the things it needs to do cant be done on the current drive being used.
And I agree with chas_m, if you're running it that much you have other, serious problems.
I haven't run it in 3 years.

I haven't run it in 3 years.

I ran DW a few months ago for the first time in about three years as well. It's a great program but a bit of a one trick pony doing one thing really well. This is not a program one should have to run often.
