Are you sure it's even possible to watch American stations (NTSC) on a German TV (PAL)?

I believe that PAL and NTSC only applies to digital material... the tv itself assuming it isn't too different from anything else.. should work fine if he finds a converter.

PAL and NTSC are older than digital TV, some TVs (very few as far as i know) can do both, if not, maybe a VCR (capable of working with the 2 systems) could do the trick using only the A/V inputs. Maybe if you post pictures/model/details of your TV...

Hmmm.. I have a 60" rear projection and I do believe it can do both. Try using a VCR or DVD player that is compatible with both and try that as mraya said. Should work if you do it that way. :)
