Hello,
I'm working on getting my PowerMac G5 up and running and I installed a new 2TB WD Green Hard Drive in it. It's plugged in but the computer isn't recognizing it, even through disk utility. It doesn't even seen to be getting power. Any ideas of what's wrong? Is it possible a dead disk, even though its brand new?

There was no vibration from the disk itself. I pulled it out, put it back in - and now it works. Weird. Thanks for the assistance!

Sounds like you may have had a loose connection. But you never know...could be a cable going bad as well. Maybe something to keep an eye on if it happens again.
