Hi there,

I'm looking at buying the Native Instruments Z1 to use with their Traktor DJ app on my iPad 4. According to the NI website, I will need an adaptor to plug their supplied 30-pin plug into the Lightning port on my iPad. Nice and simple.

However, I notice that there are two different adaptor products in the Apple Store...

This one: Lightning to 30-pin Adapter (0.2m) - Apple Store (UK)

And this one: Lightning to 30-pin Adapter - Apple Store (UK)

Is there any difference between these two products (apart from the obvious lack of a 20cm cable on the latter example and of course the price)?

What I'm driving at is, is there any reason why one would work and the other wouldn't?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

:)

There's no difference other than the length of the adapter as you point out. Both should work the same.
