Hi everyone,

I lent my old macbook (2,1 13-inch, Mid 2007) to my bro and he tipped a bloody drink over the keyboard! After I removed the outer casing, there is corrosion over the logic board. I'm unable to power up it up.

I'm not that much into the technical side of things concerning computers. I don't know whether I should sell it on ebay for spares or if I should get it fixed. What do you guys think? Also if I did sell it, how much would you expect me to get (bearing in mind the damage and model)?

Thanks in advance.

First: Have you read this thread?:

http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/ap...iquid-my-macbook-what-do-i-do-now-thread.html

Second: A 2007 MacBook (if working 100%) is only worth about $200-$250 (what I've been seeing on my local Craig's List). So a non-working 2007 MacBook would be worth a good bit less (not exactly a gold mine).

Third: Getting it fixed would involve a replacement logic board (EXPENSIVE) and not worth it (plus labor).

Forth: Sell it on eBay. Fully disclose the problem(s). Start the bidding at about $50 bucks...and see where it goes.

Fifth: If you are from the UK...convert $$$ to £££.:)
