Prior to Maverick OS it was easy to insert comments into PowerPoint Presentations (Office 2011). I have a new iMac with 32 GB RAM with Maverick installed. When I inserted voice message in the PowerPoint presentation, it plays back extremely slowly. It sounds like I am talking in my sleep. Apple Care did not have a solution. It was suggested I try using an external headphone with a microphone. I would welcome suggestions.
