Trackpad on Macbook Pro Failing

After my Macbook Pro has been on for a while the trackpad gradually loses ability to work. This a recent fault. Is there a fix for this?

2017 27" iMac, 10.5" iPad Pro, iPhone 8, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 Mini, Numerous iPods, Monterey
Can you provide us with some more info?

Your Mac, year and model. Version of OS X you're running. And tell us exactly what's going on with the trackpad. Is it loose? Does it work intermittently? Did it stop all together? What if anything have you done to try to fix it?
