Hi everyone,

i have a Finder problem, when I click on the Finder icon in the dock no Finder window opens. I have to go to the Finder menu and select "Open New Finder Window". I've gone through the Finder Preferences and it's specified that when I open Finder i will do it in my directory. But I reboot my Mac Pro and Finder is supposedly open in Desktop bu without an open window. Same thing happens if I try to restart Finder.
Anybody has an idea of what could be going wrong?
BTW, it's OS X 10.6.8

Thanks in advance!

Have a Finder window open on another desktop?

Try a right click on the Finder icon and select 'Show all windows'.
Close any open windows and see if that works.

Have a Finder window open on another desktop?

If so, won't it go to that desktop?

In my Stone Age OS, it goes to a different Space if a Finder window is open there.

I have another Monitor but it was turned off. I turned on and the it worked. Then I turned back off and it still works.
I guess it's just a desktop problem.

Thank you all ! ! !

Have seen a couple of reports about this, if you leave the Finder window on the 2nd monitor when it is turned off. Next time, just remember to use that 'Show all windows' - that should get it started again without having to turn on the other monitor.
