Display problem

I am using a Mac Mini and OS 10.6.8. The desk top display has suddenly become too big for the screen. If I can see the dock then I can't see the top menu bar and vice versa. I haven't knowingly changed any settings. The resolution is set on 1680 X 1050. Can anyone help please

So, you mean you can drag the entire screen around?

Try: while holding down the 'option' and 'command' keys - tap the '8' key.
