Your Mac's Specs
Too many to list but have the latest to oldest macs.
I have an isight imac g5, it is a pain to open up. Takes a little while as I wanted to upgrade my harddrive. Also the only downside I cant mount on the wall. Oh well it does the job fine so cant really complain.

Apart from that I love the thing, it is fast and just works so well and plus it does look so pretty.

I am a mac addict. Loving it...

how does CS2 run with 512MB of RAM? I only have 512mb.

By all means, running a pro app like that on 512 won't get you super results even on a G5.

You'll have pretty long opening times, because it has to load all plugins into memory (translate them first). And then it will be smooth more or less, but if you're going Intel, please go 1GB ...

Snap. I have the revision A iMac too, no problems whatsoever and had it for 15 months now.

The difference between the original G5 iMacs (like ours) is that they were designed to be user-serviceable, and the iSight models (G5 or Intel) are not designed this way.

This means that if, for example, our Rev A's need a midplane, then Apple can send us one to fit, but the iSight models would have to go back to an Apple tech for repair.

I don't know why Apple changed this in all the iSight models. However, I am happy with mine, and do not intend to change it for a good while yet :)

If I was going to change, I would probably go with the intel, but I would wait for the next revision at least.

It's because to many people were screwing up their cases when they worked on them, so Apple redesigned it, but instead claimed it was because the new models are thinner (why the **** they did that, I don't know).

i got the Intel 17 inch mac it's no question the best computer i've ever used. I had a dell two weeks ago that i bought but i didn't like it. So i returned that and got this bad boy. Go with the Intel. I know that non-native software won't run as fast, but wait a few months and that'll be fixed. If not I'm returning mine.

Oh and wait until after tuesday... you never know what new surprised will pop up.
