Snow Leapard to Mavericks: mdworker CPU 95%

15" MacBook Pro early 2011, Sierra, 16G ram, 500G SSD boot, 500G 7200 RPM
I just did the upgrade and mdworker is using up all my CPU (both). Anyway to get fid of it? Thanks in advance.

Leave it alone for awhile to see what happens. It may be Spotlight indexing the hard drive after you made the upgrade.

You are correct. I should have just waited. It was Spotlight updating.
