My Macbook Pro Retina does this every 5 seconds and sometimes, I have to turn wifi off/on to get it working. Do you think this is an issue with just this macbook pro or does this happen to anyone else?

I'm using a Linksys EA4500 router, so I doubt it is having any issues.

Thanks,
Brandon

Why?

If your Mac is looking for wireless networks it suggests the router has stopped or been interrupted from broadcasting one. That isn't to say it's not the Mac but it's worth making sure you're not getting wifi channel clashes (try iStumbler), trying other wireless devices, rebooting the router, checking router event logs, temporarily using a third party wireless adapter on your Mac, cabling the Mac to the router with Ethernet.
Any and all will give you a much better picture of where the point of failure is. Something, at this point, is uncertain.

I don't think its the router. It does the exact same thing at work, or anywhere I go.

Your rMBP is still under warranty. Make an appointment with your local Apple Store genius bar and have them check it out with their diagnostics. If you're losing WiFi connection wherever you go, there may be a hardware problem. Let Apple take care of it.
