Still researching and trying to decide whether or not to upgrade to Maverick from Mt Lion and read where someone recommended checking the disk prior to doing so.
I did the "Verify Disk Permissions" check in the Disk Utility and it came up with a lot of errors. Did the "Repair Disk Permissions" and did another "Verify Disk Permissions." It came up with what appeared to be the same amount of stuff as the first time I ran it.
Should I be concerned with this? Should I do a reboot after running the Repair? Should I run a "Verify Disk" and "Repair Disk" if something comes up?
I'm really doing this stuff in the blind, not really knowing what these are doing. Just figure it 'shouldn't' hurt anything. Any insights would be helpful. Thanks.
