Notes App Won't Stay Open

I used the "Notes", yellow legal pad version that's always been in the dock. I tried to save some larger files, and now the App won't stay open. Any suggestions?

What Mac? What version OSX? What do you mean "won't stay open?" Any error messages? What happens when you try to open Notes. We need a bit more information to try to assist.
