hi,

i have an airport extreme wifi router.

My wireless reception is good but how do i inscrease it even more?

also how can i see how much the wireless network is being used, i.e - mbites or percentage.

Your signal strength is dependant on your location to the access point and your surroundings. If you have dead spots you could get a repeater to forward signal to other areas.

Ethereal (X11) will monitor network traffic. However it will only monitor traffic on local interfaces. It won't monitor other machines. It also creates huge logs so you wouldn't want it running all the time. If you have Tiger, SysStat is a good widget for network usage amounts, so is Activity Viewer in OS X. Once again they are for local interfaces.
