Start up disk full

I need to make some free space on my start up disk....where do I begin or with what do I begin?

1. When's the last time you emptied the trash?

2. What about deleting all the stuff from the Downloads folder that you've already installed, moved to iTunes or elsewhere and then empty the trash again.

3. Beyond that, we don't have a clue what type of stuff you've put on the drive and what you may have that you don't want or need that can be deleted. If you really have nothing that can be deleted, then it's time to replace your drive with a new larger drive.

DO NOT DELETE anything that you don't know what it is.
I would also strongly encourage you to make a backup prior to deleting a bunch of stuff.
