Ok I'm trying to migrate settings from a windows pc to a mac for my wife.
I downloaded and ran migration assistant from apple to the windows pc and ran it on the mac. I was able to transfer the settings to the new mac. But what I end up with when I start the mac up is two users. The one user I had setup for the mac and the one user MA setup for the settings from the windows pc. If I log into the windows user the settings from windows are there.
This is not what I want. I just wanted to transfer mail files and settings, saved files to the new mac user I had setup. What it is doing is creating a new user with the windows settings. Just dawned on me that new user the migration setup may not have admin rights?
Is there anyway I can get this to do what I want?
