old ipod shuffle question

So I still have the old tiny square ipod shuffle, still works and all, but it doesn't sync the right songs that play with my itunes library. is this a bug or just an outdated ipod?

Not sure what you mean by it doesn't sync the right songs with your iTunes library? If you have a large library the Shuffle is not going to be able to sync all the music because of its capacity. Try resetting the Shuffle and then just sync the playlists you want from iTunes. If it's a 2 GB shuffle, you should be able to load quite a few playlists depending on their size.

Oh sorry for not being more detailed. I meant if I have on the ipod:
song A, B, and C. and I play songs A and B. The ipod will sync to my mac but will show song B and C as recently played.
Not a big deal but kind of a pet peeve...
