color change shortcut in Word for Mac?

I need to repetitively change the color of sequences of numbers (all different) to blue in a long document. Is there any shortcut to: Format>Font>Automatic>Blue>OK each time I highlight a sequence? The color change must show on the printed document.

Not that I know of. However, if you're capable of writing a macro and are using Office 2011, that would be the way to go.

OS X does have the ability to set custom keyboard shortcuts for the menu commands of any native Mac app. This does not work for non-native apps (Firefox, for example, can't use this trick). I can't vouch for Office, but here's a link to a prior post of mine where I detail how to do this in another app:

In your case, you probably will have to bind the shortcut to "Blue", rather than "OK" since, I assume, that's a pop-up box.

Another alternative is to set up a workflow using Automator or another macro-building software like Keyboard Maestro that can repetitively execute commands for you, click buttons, and so on.
