Hi all, I am using a late 2012 Apple MacBook Pro for about a year ++

Recently I have noticed that whenever I click on the shutdown option from the menu, the screen will reverts to the login screen.

Initially I thought i may have click on the wrong option but I'm not, resulting me either select the Shutdown option from the login screen or through the terminal.

Thus is my Mac gotten into some sort of virus attacks etc? Kindly advise any solution

It's not a virus since there aren't any in the wild that can infect your MacBook Pro. Try resetting the SMC and the PRAM.
