I just bought a new Macbook Pro and I've noticed the monitor dims and then lights back up. It only dims a little bit but enough to notice.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm calling Apple in case there is something major

Sounds like the Energy Saver settings. This is the "Automatically reduce brightness before display goes to sleep" setting. It does this when the computer detects no activity.

I called Apple and they walked me through some steps that seem to work as of now. Thanks for the comment. I don't even know what she did. I had to hold in keys and start it. Apple Customer Service is great until the ****** warranty lasts

Then I suggest purchasing Apple Care which will extend your warranty to three years instead of the one year and 90 days phone support you have now. ;)
