SSD upgrade help please

Dear Mac People, I have a March 2009 Core 2 Duo 2.93 24 inch that needs a new drive. I would like to go hybrid or full SSD. I'm confused about which brand makes one that will fit in the old drives form factor and connector. Could someone please advise? Thank you!

And yes, it's an IMac.

I just updated my Macbook pro Mid 2010 with an 480GB SSD from Other World Computing at Other World Computing (OWC) - Performance Upgrades For Your Mac and wow did it make a difference. Everything runs extremely fast. They are having a lot of specials now. You can prompt them with the make, model and year for your computer and they will let you know what drives will work. They have both SSD and disk drives. The other advantage with the SSD is the longer battery life. I researched and found OWC the best albeit not the cheapest.

Be aware that some 2009 model hard drives used heat sensors and not connecting these makes the iMac roar like a 747 at full throttle. Have a look at this from OWC. Not the easiest job in the world cracking your iMac.
