MacBook leopard won't boot up

Hi: I have a MacBook with Leopard operating system that tries to boot up but can't. How do I manually boot it up? Thanks!

You can try using your original Leopard install recovery DVD to boot the machine. You didn't offer us much info as to what's happening? When you say it won't boot, do you see anything at all on the screen? Also telling us which Mac you have would help. Year and model.
