I am frequently and, seemingly, randomly interrupted by a message from Safari that it doesn't recognize the Amazon website and I loose my connection to the site. Has anyone else had this problem.

I recently upgraded to Maverick thinking that would solve my problem, but it did not.

Are you sure that you are on the "real" Amazon site? Safari has built in protection against site "phishing". There are sites that pretend to be Amazon and are not, so be careful.

Open Safari and enter this in the address bar: https://www.amazon.com/?tag=macforums0e4-20

Also, it's always best to have another browser that you can use to test with in case Safari is not working. I recommend downloading a copy of Chrome or Firefox.

No problems here - I am on Amazon - a lot - so is the wife - both running Mavericks and Safari.

Safari doesnt recognize amazon? Maybe your connection is really slow that's why you can't open the browser. Hmmm. That's weird.

I do nearly 90% of my non-grocery shopping on Amazon, and while I don't always use Safari, I can't remember ever having a problem with it.
