Recently installed OSX 10.9, now I can't open a file I locked. Error msg: "The required index.xml file is missing."

We need a little more context. What are you trying to open? Unfortunately, index.xml isn't specific enough.

The file that won't open is a Pages file. When it is clicked on it requires a password I set before it will open.

Does the password dialog show up? Either way, it sounds like the file is corrupted. Do you have the original on a back up or something?

The password dialog box doesn't show up. I do have backups and will check the copied files. Thanks.
