Can't open text pics from certain people...

When I open texts from a few people, the scrolling is twitchy and won't let me open pics, but I can still text them.

Also, these same people have the same issue from their end texting me, but not others.

I have never heard of this happening before. I've only done a reset, holding the buttons down, with no luck. Any other ideas?
