Adium

I have the lastest version of adium, but as always my file transfers and my chatroom requests that I click ok do nothing. People send me invites and i cant get in, people send me direct files and i accept them and they never come through, same for outgoing files. Doesn anyone know what I need to do?

Adium is still working on that, I use regular instant messenger for chat rooms, and file transfers, Adium only works for file transfers, mac to mac.

I haven't even had it work mac to mac before.. it just plain doesn't work for me, no matter who the person is and what platform they use.

I have the same problem. When people want to do file transfers, I have to switch over to iChat. Although people have no trouble recieving transfers from me...

I do mac to mac all the time, are they running the same version as you?

yeah same version of OS, but not same version of Adium, they are usually using iChat and they don't seem to work together with them sending me files.

it has been taking them a heck of a long time to straighten this out too

hm.... not allways...... In Russia mac;s are rare...... all the friends have PC with ICQ.... and file transfers works withouot errors

files transfers work sometimes for me. it is a hassle though...hope they straighten it out cause there are def things I like more than Ichat

I transfer Mac to Windows and Windows to Mac and it works fine for me. The only thing I've noticed is it is somewhat slow. What version does everyone have?

The latest version. Where is your download folder set to? Maybe that's my problem.. mine is set to my desktop...

Mine is to. Would that effect it though?

They've been working on that since I started using it which was somewhere between .50 and .59

Hey guys, Im kinda new to the mac, I made the switch about 6 months ago. I love it. I dont think I will ever go back to a Windoze PC, however I might jst keep one around for work purposes.

Anyway, I havent use any instant messangers on her as of yet and would like to in case I have quesions or just to keep in touch with people. Thought maybe we could make a list of our IM names? Ill probably be making on here shortly and posting it if you guys want to add me.

Oddly enough my S.O. can send files to me using Adium and I can download them. If I try and send her anything though it fails using the exact same two computers.

I nomiate kokopelli to join the adium team and help them code their program to fix this file transfer problem that is the only thing wrong witht his amazing program. works mac to mac but not all the time.. never works mac to pc.
