Seeking advice for crashing macbook pro

Hi All

Apologies in advance - I have no idea about how to handle these errors, I don't have that sort of knowledge or experience!

My laptop has been crashing irregularly for the past few months, but started to crash several times a day lately. I thought upgrading it to the new Mavericks OS may help - but it's just as bad, if not worse. It seems to crash intermittently in a range of programs. It sometimes crashes again immediately after restarting.

It's a macbook pro, about 3 years old now, it's a work computer so I didn't get it and install everything for me from scratch.

I have copied one of the error reports below - what should I do? I'm sure it's out of warranty by now, do I need to take it to a professional or get something replaced?

If I had to take an educated guess here.... I would say your nVidia GPU is acting up and causing the crashes. Apple has extended the warranty and repairs on some 2010 MacBook Pro machines with the nVidia GPU. I would give them a call and setup an appointment with a genius bar and take it on in. They'll run some tests and if your MBP qualifies for the free repair, they'll replace the logic board under the extended special warranty. Let us know how it goes...
