Can I delete this folder?

Under Macintosh HD in Finder, there's a folder called Damaged Files that recently just kind of appeared. Here's what's in it:

Can/should I delete it? Where did all of this come from-- maybe after running disk utility?

Probably. However, be sure to read the article referred in member McBie's reply to you. And, I would keep a sharp eye on your hard drive and most importantly - make backups!
