encryption software

Does anyone know of good encryption software to run on a macbook air?
I work in healthcare, and may get some PHI on my laptop, so need to encrypt as least part of the drive.

You didn't mention which version of OS X you're running nor what MacBook Air you have, however, why not use "FileVault" since it's built in and free?

Thanks chscag for sharing the file vault info. Did not know any of that.

Be VERY AWARE that if you forget the master password to FileVault, you are up a creek well known for its brownish colour without means of return.
