This keeps showing up in my software updates. Is this something I should allow to be installed, or is it malware?

Anti-malware built into the operating system since OS X.6.8. How are you getting this message ~ running any AV software by chance? Also not confusing with Flash Player?

It shows up when I do a software update search. In the details, there is a link that takes me to the Apple Support. Not running A/V.

Click on the red 'Go Advance' button next to 'Post Quick Reply'.
Scroll down to where it says 'Manage attachments', click on that.
A window will pop up with a 'Browse' button. Click that and find the screenshot.
Click 'Upload'. Close the window after it uploads.
Type something in the reply box and post.

Note: if you can, make the screenshot smaller than actual size or edit it to just show the dialog box. Maybe using Preview? I think there is a limit to uploaded file sizes.

It's a malware removal tool from Apple - yes, I'd go ahead and install it - it's been sitting there for you to install for over a year and a half.

Agree with Bobtomay. That is not malware, it's a removal tool for the Flash Malware.
