sorry for the odd title, I had absolutely no idea what else to title this.

So a couple days ago my Macbook pro started doing a thing, where it would randomly get stuck in caps lock and anything I click in safari or firefox opens in a new window or for some reason gets sent to my reading list.
I thought maybe it was my wireless keyboard acting up, so I unplugged it, but even the keyboard on the laptop itself does it.

This is also messing with my intuos3 in photoshop, when this problem starts it will only draw straight lines (I know that sounds so odd but I have no other way to explain it)

Does anyone have any idea what this could be or how I can go about fixing it, because the only solution I have is restarting my computer, but then its only a matter of time before it starts acting up again.

If the same thing is occurring with a wireless keyboard and the internal keyboard, try resetting the System Management Controller (SMC). See the following Apple KB article: LINK. If that doesn't help, also try a NVRAM reset: LINK
