How can I get Animated Images inserted into my E-mail Messages?

Also, I've seen people with a Weather Report in their E-mail Messages they send to me. How can I get that into my E-mail Messages too?

What you read might only apply to the Mavericks Mail and not your Snow Leopard Mail. Will check on that and get back.

Thanks. Would really be cool to figure out how to use animated images in Mail, and also use the Weather Report in my Signature, like one of my cousins does. But she is using Windows and doesn't know anything about Macs.

The latest version of Mail still shows animations from what few Incredimails I've gotten from others so I would say yes, it still supports animation.

Find yourself an animated gif or create one and try it out. I think you can still use images in your sig in Mail.

I tried dragging some animated gifs into Mail, but they do not work.

They might not work in the compose window, have you tried sending one to someone? See if it's animated there? Get someone to send one to you and see if it works.

I use animated gifs constantly in my email, and I have no problems with them. I actually have a folder on my desktop full of animated "smileys" and emoticons and I just go to "insert" choose my gif and away I go. They are viewed on the other side by both PC's and Macs. They have always worked for me with every incarnation of the OSX including the current Mavericks.

Whatever happened to the campaign to rid the world of emoticons?
