Hi,
I just got my new Mac Mini having come from Windows and I am having a few issues with emails.
I have a Gmail account and unfortunatly it proceeded to load thousands of old unread emails into the new account.
They have now stopped (thank the lord) but now I have a notification in the dock saying I have 500 emails....but there are none there!!
I have attached an image as its hard to explain....HELP

Also I should point out that I have just had 3 emails come in and when I delete them they come back!

Try accessing your GMail account direct rather than through Mail. That will allow you to see if there is mail that has been marked as unread or is being tossed back into your In box again. Also, if you have no reason to save old mail, set the option in Mail to remove messages from the server after they have been downloaded. However, before doing that make sure that's what will work for you.
