Wifi/airport extreme upgrade?

Was wondering if i could upgrade my airport extreme/wifi card in my MBP. Ive searched the forums and have not found any info on this. Im sure there are some advances since mid 2009. whats available? worth it? Your thoughts please...

It's probably not worth the trouble since you have to do a great deal of disassembling to change out an Airport card in a 2009 MacBook Pro. While the newer Airport cards provide for faster speeds in theory, in a practical environment you won't see any worthwhile increase in speed. Also, it's very likely that the newer cards would not be compatible with your MacBook Pro.
