Hello there. I got an iMac G3 from an Estate sale, and I got some good programs on there (Office X for Mac) and some iLife apps. I want to back these up, because I want to erase the HD when upgrading to 10.3. Does anyone know any way to back these up for free?

Thank you.

Look for REALLY old versions of Super Duper or Carbon Copy Cloner.

Ok, so I found SuperDuper for 10.2, and is there an option to copy ONLY the applications?

The problem is larger applications, such as Office and some Adobe programs, do not clone well and on transfer from an external drive, ask for the activation code. If you do not have the original install CD's and activation codes, be aware you may well lose them.
